The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for evaluating and diagnosing speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties. They will be required to develop and implement effective treatment programs, provide counseling to patients and their families about testing results and recommended treatment options, establish patient understanding and treatment goals, and create accurate documentation for all patient visits. In addition, they will need to delegate duties, maintain communication with staff and outside agencies, and refer patients to medical specialists. The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance plans, familiarity with speech and cognitive disorders, basic computer literacy, the ability to comply with regulatory standards, a master's degree in speech-language pathology or a related field, 1-3 years of speech-language pathology experience, an active state SLP license, and ASHA certification (preferred).
