Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Soliant Education

Soliant Education is seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in the Bethlehem, PA area. This full-time, in-person position is available immediately and will run through November 2024, offering a chance to make a significant impact on the lives of students during this crucial period.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the receptive and expressive language skills of students across middle and high school grades.
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's specific communication needs, utilizing a variety of evidence-based strategies and interventions.
  • Provide individual and small group therapy sessions to address a range of communication needs, including articulation and phonology disorders, receptive and expressive language skills, social communication skills, fluency disorders, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) needs.
  • Collaborate with general education and special education teachers, administrators, parents, and other professionals to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment that promotes communication access and academic success for all students.
  • Consult with teachers on strategies to integrate communication interventions and support the language development of students within the classroom setting.
  • Monitor student progress, analyze data, and report on the effectiveness of interventions to inform ongoing therapy plans.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in school speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
  • Pennsylvania State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP).
  • Prior experience working with students in a school setting, particularly middle and/or high school, is preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, intervention planning, and therapy delivery for adolescents with communication disorders.
  • Expertise in a variety of evidence-based strategies and interventions for speech and language development.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, parents, teachers, and school staff.
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting on student progress.
  • A commitment to equity and inclusion in the school environment.
  • A passion for helping middle and high school students develop strong communication skills and achieve success in a school setting.
