Senior Accounting Analyst

Direct Hire - Hybrid

Sandy Springs, GA


The Senior Accounting Analyst embodies high performance and initiative, driven by a robust work ethic. Their primary responsibilities revolve around general ledger accounting and financial reporting and analysis, integral to the monthly financial statement close process and review of operating companies' financial statements. Key objectives entail delivering precise, timely, and pertinent financial reports, alongside providing support for management in financial planning and forecasting endeavors.


Essential Functions:

  • Conduct thorough financial analysis to pinpoint emerging trends, variances, and areas ripe for improvement, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Craft and maintain robust financial models, empowering stakeholders with data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions.
  • Prepare timely ad hoc reports and analyses tailored to specific needs, fostering agility and responsiveness in decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to unearth opportunities for enhancing processes and driving cost efficiencies.
  • Ensure adherence to stringent accounting standards and regulations, safeguarding organizational integrity and transparency.
  • Assist in audit preparations and effectively address auditor inquiries, ensuring smooth and successful audit outcomes.
  • Provide meticulous balance sheet account reconciliations, account analyses, and accrual calculations, fostering accuracy and reliability in financial reporting.
  • Analyze the impact of foreign currency and translation on consolidated results, mitigating risks and optimizing financial performance.
  • Document and enforce corporate accounting policies and procedures, fostering consistency and compliance across the organization.
  • Proactively communicate, research, and resolve subsidiary and regional inquiries related to US GAAP and company policy, ensuring clarity and alignment.
  • Coordinate year-end audits with international subsidiaries and regional offices, ensuring seamless collaboration and compliance.
  • Collaborate with IT on consolidation and reporting software updates, ensuring alignment with financial reporting requirements and driving continuous improvement.
  • Spearhead special projects aimed at enhancing process efficiency and performance, driving organizational excellence and agility.
  • Provide support to regions and subsidiaries on interfacing local accounting systems with consolidation software, addressing training needs, and ensuring smooth operations.
  • Propose innovative solutions for enhancing system applications, fostering efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations.
  • Undertake additional special projects and analyses as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to organizational objectives.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or financial analysis in a multi-national company
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
