Pay: $20.00/hour Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

SUMMARY Assemble simple components using aluminum, steel, plastics and composites.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.
  1. Design and fabricate simple components and assemblies using aluminum, steel, plastics and composites.
  2. Document detail design changes by marking up blueprints, drawings and routers (work orders).
  3. Ensure that material levels remain at an acceptable level by maintaining material lists.
  4. Weld aluminum and steel.
  5. Cut raw material using saws and stomp shears.
  6. Position parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.
  7. Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners or adhesives.
  8. Modify parts through the operation of saws, shears or by welding or remove small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts.
  9. Cut wire, assemble harnesses and lamp track sub-assemblies, and wire signs.
  10. Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 24 months sign maker or custom fabricator or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
