Body Shop Estimator Compensation and Benefits: 

Body Shop Estimator Competitive Salary: $1500/mo salary plus 8.5% commission on individual parts and labor gross profit.  

Generous Paid Time Off (PTO):We prioritize work-life balance, offering industry-leading PTO. New full-time employees accrue 4 hours per pay period, totaling approximately 96 hours in the first year, with increases over time. 

Comprehensive Benefits Package: Hannah Motor Company provides extensive health benefits starting the first month after 60 days of employment. Options include medical, dental, vision, Health Savings and Flexible Spending accounts, life insurance, and short- and long-term disability, alongside a robust 401(k) plan for retirement planning. 

Paid Holidays: Hannah Motor Company offers at least 6paid holidays per year to Body Shop Estimator subject to completion of the introductory period and other eligibility requirements as per company policy. 

Body Shop Estimator Responsibilities: 

  • Appraising vehicle damage.
  • Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtains vehicle information.
  • Writes up customers’ vehicle problems accurately and clearly on repair order.
  • Advises customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.
  • Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
  • Establishes "promised time." Checks with team foreman, if necessary.
  • Obtains customer's signature on repair order; provides customer with a copy.
  • Checks on progress of repair throughout the day.
  • Contacts customers and/or insurance company regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
  • Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed, and additional work and authorization is noted. Closes repair order as appropriate.
  • Explains completed work and all charges to customers.
  • Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.

 

Body Shop Estimator Qualifications: 

  • Excellent communication skills (including listening, speaking).
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work alone, self motivate and manage one’s own time.
  • Physical ability to use computer hardware/software.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Organized and extremely detail oriented. 
  • Ability to prioritize.
  • Deadline-oriented
  • Research skills
  • Basic knowledge of dealership operations and/or office/clerical experience.
