The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility.

Systems Engineer - Requirements Architect/Analyst

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for creating architecture and system models using MathWorks tools such as System Composer, Simscape, and Simulink. The candidate should be proficient in linking requirements from the Requirements Management System (e.g., Visure) to the system models in MathWorks, ensuring traceability and alignment throughout the development process.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage system requirements within the Requirements Management System (e.g., Visure, Doors, Jama).
  • Identify system functional decomposition and allocate requirements to subsystems.
  • Create architecture and system models using MathWorks tools (e.g., System Composer, Simscape, Simulink).
  • Link requirements from the Requirements Management System to system models in MathWorks for traceability and alignment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on system architecture and requirements allocation.
  • Support system integration and testing activities to ensure compliance with requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on requirements architecture and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Requirements Management Systems such as Visure, Doors, Jama, etc.
  • Experience creating architecture and system models using MathWorks tools (System Composer, Simscape, Simulink).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks
  • Knowledge of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) principles.
  • Certification in systems engineering (e.g., INCOSE CSEP) is a plus.
