JOB SUMMARY

Position Title: Food Distribution Lead

Program: Health and Nutrition Impact Team

Classification: Non-Exempt/Full Time

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITIES

•Order food and prepare food orders for pantries. Ensure all products are received, stored, and distributed to food pantries in timely matter and according to USDA and food safety guidelines.

•Set up food pickup schedules for food pantries. Pick up and deliver food as needed.

•Ensure all programs comply with federal, state and organization food distribution procedures and policies including conducting educational sessions and annual reviews of participating pantries.

•Compile and submit reports and data to federal, state and organization as needed.

•Determine supply and equipment needs; submit equipment applications to the PA Department of Agriculture (PDA) for approval; maintain inventory.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED required.

•Prior inventory, food service, or warehouse work is preferred.

•Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

•Valid Driver’s License required.

•The successful candidate will be required to complete the SERV Safe Manager and Tow Motor certifications within 3 months of hire.
