Position Title: Senior Cloud Engineer

Location: Hawaii

Restrictions: Personnel must be on-site in Hawaii. Remote support is not applicable.

Clearance Level: TS/SCI

Salary Range: Master $170-210K

Senior $140-170K

Quantity: 1

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Enterprise-Level Cloud Operations:
  • Lead and manage enterprise-level cloud operations, ensuring efficient cloud infrastructure migration and maintenance.
  • Oversee cloud resource allocation, monitoring, and optimization to maintain peak performance and cost efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies for cloud scalability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
Cloud Architecture Principles and Design:
  • Design and implement cloud architecture solutions that meet business requirements and align with industry best practices.
  • Create comprehensive cloud architecture blueprints and detailed documentation for proposed and existing cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring that cloud solutions are robust and scalable.
Hardware Infrastructure for Cloud Deployments:
  • Evaluate and select appropriate hardware and infrastructure components required for enterprise cloud deployments.
  • Integrate hardware solutions with cloud platforms to ensure seamless operation and high availability.
  • Perform regular assessments of hardware performance and capacity, making recommendations for upgrades or modifications as needed.
Cloud-Based Cyber Security:
  • Develop and enforce cloud security policies and procedures to protect cloud environments from threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Implement advanced security measures, including encryption, identity and access management, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential security issues.
Current Cloud Implementations:
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in cloud technologies, particularly in Azure, AWS, Oracle, and other major cloud platforms.
  • Evaluate and recommend cloud solutions and tools that enhance the organization's cloud capabilities.
  • Provide guidance and support for the adoption and implementation of new cloud technologies and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing and operating enterprise-level cloud environments, with a focus on migration and maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture principles and design, with a track record of successful cloud deployments.
  • Strong understanding of the hardware infrastructure required for cloud computing and its integration with cloud platforms.
  • Expertise in cloud-based cyber security, including the ability to design and implement robust security measures.
  • Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Oracle, and experience with their deployment and management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
