Summary

North Fork Builders, a Montana based general contractor, is currently hiring a Field Engineer to join our team in the Big Timber area. 

 

At North Fork, we are committed to excellent craftsmanship and collaboration with our clients to create thoughtfully designed and strategically executed residential and commercial buildings. Locations

Our main office and shop are in Bozeman, MT. We have projects located in Big Sky, Big Timber and Whitefish.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for collection, distribution and approval of timecards. Ensure accuracy of coding and hours and overall legibility of timecards
  • Receipt and Invoice coding
  • Manage Procore project folder including daily logs and project photos
  • Ability to perform various techniques (framing, trim work, siding)
  • Knowledge of start to finish carpentry
  • Operation of forklifts, skid steers, genie lifts after completion of certification
  • Ability to operate both hand and power tools
  • Advanced construction math skills and ability to teach
  • Track T&M work closely and report to Project Manager on weekly basis
  • Manage and alert team to critical deadline/approvals
  • Responsible for architect/engineer communication in the RFI process
  • Assist Foreman and Superintendent with material take-offs and ordering
  • Distribution of weekly reports to project team
  • Manage distribution and maintenance of shop drawing review and approval process 
  • Maintain and update 3-week schedule look-aheads
  • Assists Project Manager in updating master schedule
  • Assist project team with project close out and punch list items 
  • Dissemination of information from superintendent to the rest of the crew
  • Assist Superintendent with enforcement of quality control


Physical & Environmental Requirements: 

  • Performs tasks that require physical labor at construction sites
  • Climb and work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and heavy lifting (50 lbs)
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Able to work overtime and weekends as required by the workload


Technology & Certification Requirements: 

CPR/First Aid Certified

OSHA 30

Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Word, Excel, Outlook)

Proficient with Blueprint Reading

Knowledge of Building Codes

BlueBeam

Procore

Total Station
