Job Description:

Augmentjobs is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Analyst - Financial Planning to join our dynamic finance team. This role will be critical in driving the company's strategic financial planning efforts, providing insightful analysis to support decision-making, and ensuring the financial health of the organization.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and have a strong ability to interpret complex financial data to guide business strategy. You will collaborate closely with senior management, cross-functional teams, and other stakeholders to forecast financial performance, develop budgets, and analyze business trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the development of financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support business planning. Analyze variances and trends to provide actionable insights.

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to align financial planning with the company's strategic goals. Assist in the formulation of long-term financial strategies.

  • Performance Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including variance analysis, KPIs, and trend analysis to management and stakeholders.

  • Business Partnering: Work closely with business units to understand their financial needs, provide recommendations, and support decision-making processes.

  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve financial planning processes, tools, and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.

  • Cost Management: Monitor and analyze costs, identify areas for cost reduction, and drive cost management initiatives.

  • Ad-hoc Analysis: Perform special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as required to support the business.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: 6 to 8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within a large organization or in a similar industry.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or CPA is preferred.

  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial statements, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

  • Analytical Skills: Advanced analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and financial planning software (e.g., Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, or similar).

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.

  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues across different functions.

  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
