Summary

The Industrial Coating Tech is responsible for prep, prime and painting finish coat of pipe and related equipment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • The ICT works with and reports to the ICT Lead for work assignments.
  • Follows precise product guidelines for prep and application of primers and finish coats.
  • Maintains all assigned painting equipment.
  • Locates and organizes fabricated station components to prep for paint.
  • Inspects station components for defects and reports anomalies to the ICT Lead.
  • Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals material handlers for assistance.
  • Keeps inventory, product staging areas, and machinery clean.
  • Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must frequently lift 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, the employee will frequently stand or walk, occasionally talk and listen, and move from place to place. He/she will frequently use hands to handle or touch. Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics for this position are in an industrial setting where all policies regarding safety have to be followed. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
