Job Summary:
Preferred Auto Dealerships is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Technician to join our team at our Grand Haven location in Michigan. This is a full-time, individual contributor role with a salary compensation ranging from $113,568 to $174,720 per year, paid semimonthly. As our Heavy Duty Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic testing, repairs, and maintenance on heavy duty vehicles in order to ensure their safe and efficient operation.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid top-offs, on heavy duty vehicles
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with heavy duty vehicles, including engines, transmissions, and suspensions
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot problems effectively
- Perform major repairs and overhauls on heavy duty vehicles, including engine rebuilds and transmission replacements
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers to ensure accurate diagnosis and timely completion of repairs
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations while performing repairs and maintenance tasks
- Keep a detailed record of all work performed, including parts and labor used
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and advancements in the heavy duty vehicle industry

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a heavy duty technician
- Strong knowledge of heavy duty vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical components
- ASE certification preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently and independently
