Banyan Search is assisting a Triad corporation with their search for an Accounting Supervisor. This is a newly created position due to the growth being experienced by this privately held company. The position will report to and work closely with the Controller on a variety of accounting duties. The organization has a family friendly culture and provides the opportunity for someone to grow professionally. This position is an in-office role.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Supervisor will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Assist with month end close process
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Review and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
  • Oversee accounting department staff and accounting operations including A/R, A/P
  • Prepare cost and/or inventory reports
  • Help with documentation of accounting processes in maintaining internal controls
  • Assist with preliminary and year end audit preparation

Qualified candidates for the Accounting Supervisor role will possess the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years' experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with general ledger functions and month end closings
  • Experience with preparing financial statements
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and ability to handle multiple assignments
