Job DescriptionAs a Software Engineer reporting to the Software Development Director, you must be a software development expert with 3+ years of experience working with enterprise applications and data platforms in the cloud.
The main responsibilities for this position include:
- Help design a cloud-based data platform and services
- Help build the DevOps strategy for hosting and managing our microservice and connector infrastructure in AWS cloud
- Experience working with Java and distributed computing platforms in large enterprises where scale and complexity have been tackled
- Experience participating in Agile development projects for enterprise-level systems component design and implementation
- Experience working with multiple partners, providing tradeoffs on design for short-term and long-term solutions
- Understand and apply enterprise software design for data services and middleware implementation.
- Help build the DevOps strategy for hosting and managing our microservice and connector infrastructure in AWS cloud
- Help develop a cloud-based data platform and services
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in technical discipline
- Experienced engineer with hands-on and good coding skills with Java, Python
- Experience with Containerized Micro-services
- Experience with RDBMS (Aurora MySQL) and No-SQL (Dynamo DB, Cassandra)
- AWS Cloud experience – S3, EFS, MSK, ECS, EMR.
- Knowledge of Hadoop/Spark and multiple data formats like Parquet, CSV, etc.
