Talent and Labor Manager
SUMMARY: The Talent Manager for Bear Country, Inc. is part of the Human Resources Department and will lead employee engagement, retention, and working directly with the CEO on Labor Management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES of the Talent and Labor Manager:
1. Implement and manage labor plans in scheduling software (Hotel Effectiveness) for all departments of company. Monitor labor through reports and send updates to managers that are possibly exceeding labor. Hold department heads responsible for managing their labor.
2. Be primary person for questions and managing of scheduling software Hotel Effectiveness.
3. Develop, initiate, and maintain effective programs for workforce retention, promotion and succession planning.
4. Leads in the organization in the coordination of employee activities and events, as well as any support needed during the activities or events.
5. Ensures required staff and materials are available and prepared for events or activities.
6. Ensures recreation funds are used effectively and efficiently for the improvement of company morale and the development of employee relationships.
7. Evaluates the success of each activity, event, or outing and identifies opportunities for improvement in the future.
8. Help prepare and run payroll.
9. Recruit candidates and schedule interviews, make staffing decisions to ensure all departments are fully staffed.
10. Help maintain compliance and enforce workplace rules and state/federal regulations.
11. Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Carries out any supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies, training programs, and applicable laws.
Responsibilities may include scheduling, timecards/payroll, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit at a desk, stand; walk; swim; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must be able to see differences in widths and lengths of lines such as those on graphs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
