Position Overview: As a Water Mitigation Crew Chief, where you'll lead and manage water damage restoration projects, ensuring efficient and effective mitigation. You'll be responsible for overseeing on-site operations, coordinating with team members and clients, and maintaining high standards of service and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Operations:

    • Maintain a clean and organized truck, stocked with tools and supplies to operate for 2-3 days.
    • Coordinate with dispatch to receive daily task assignments.
  • On-Site Responsibilities:

    • Report arrival to dispatch within 1 hour.
    • Communicate with property owners and outline the work to be performed.
    • Use the provided equipment to assess and update the Project Manager on the scope of work.
    • Implement floor protection and dust barriers before starting work.
    • Communicate with the Project Manager and dispatch regarding ETOC (Estimated Time of Completion) and scope changes.
    • Bring necessary tools and PPE into the work site and ensure thorough cleanup post-mitigation.
    • Document all job notes and tasks, including those done outside of regular hours.
    • Coordinate with dispatch to schedule return times for equipment pickup and set up post-matterport scans.
  • Off-Site Responsibilities:

    • Clean and restock your truck daily.
    • Check in with ESR/Contents/Facilities Manager for warehouse tasks.
    • Perform equipment and truck checks and submit the completed list for sign-off.
  • Growth and Development:

    • Request ride-along days with a Project Manager (up to once every 7 days off).
    • Pursue Xactimate training with a Project Manager or ESR Manager.
    • Review job notes to understand insurance processes and adjuster interactions.
    • For non-native English speakers, undertake additional English lessons to improve communication skills.
    • Ensure CE credits are up-to-date for continued certification.

Milestones:

  • Achieve a green score for the ETOC average.
  • Complete 2 ride-along per month with Project Managers.
  • Complete CE courses to advance your career with Romexterra.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing learning and professional development.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • An hourly rate of $23 - $26
  • Competitive commission plan:
    • 3% of total mitigation and content sales from documented relationships initiated and maintained by the employee.
    • 1% of total reconstruction/repair sales from documented relationships initiated and maintained by the employee.
  • Company vehicle and gas card - for the selected position

  • 401K, company match up to 6%
  • Paid Time Off Eligible after 90 days.
    • 5 days vacation and 3 sick days in the first 2 years.
    • After 2 years, increase to 10 vacation days.
