Junior Procurement Specialist

The Procurement Specialist will report to the Purchase Manager and his/her main role is to support the Company in the timely purchase of packaging materials.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Review material unit costs with the Purchase Manager
  • Enter purchase orders, price agreement, or contracts proposals into the Company systems, verifying their correctness in terms of

Packaging information (SKU number, quantity, unit of measure)

Promised delivery date

Destination Warehouse

  • Send Purchase Orders to Suppliers and verifying their acknowledgement.
  • Schedule purchases and arrivals with material vendors, organizing timely shipment of materials
  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and material handlers to check on materials arrivals
  • Support any goods return to Suppliers, should any defect emerge during the receiving process
  • Keep track of open orders (weekly/monthly basis)
  • Maintain and update procurement records, including pricing, specifications, and vendor information.
  • Assist in vendor evaluations and performance reviews.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate reorder points to prevent stockouts.
  • Support in the resolution of procurement-related issues and discrepancies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1-2 years of procurement and packaging experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (excel, Word, & Outlook)
  • Intermediate knowledge of JDE, MRP, Board & ZOHO
