Are you looking for a career in the film industry? Do you love movies? Hawk Hill Pictures is looking for 2 interns to help us run our Film Festival in January, 2025.

Hawk Hlil Pictures is offering a 3 day film showcase to highlight independent film. We are a film distributor and work with producers to help them achieve their dreams of being on the big screen and small screens through streaming and other platforms around the world.

As an Intern, your tasks will include:

  1. Reviewing films for the festival and helping us select entrants
  2. Helping us prepare for the weekend event, including downloading films to drives ensuring acecptable sound quality and other tasks as needed
  3. Visiting the theater for testing and tech checks (located at the Parkway Theater, McKees Rocks, PA)
  4. Ability to work the entire weekend of Jan 24-26 at the festival.

We offer a very flexible schedule - you can work on your 10 hours/week at times convenient to you; however, you must be available for tech check and work during the entire festival. You will be relied upon to run the film equipment during the event, including sound. Training by the theater will be provided.

The internship will run from October - the end of January and will be unpaid, 10 hours/week. Candidates that successfully complete the internship will receive a letter of recommendation and introduction to local film producers for future employment opportunities if desired. Candidates with their own film projects will be given advice for future distribution opportunities.

Candidate must have reliable transportation and be in the Pittsburgh metro area during the time of the internship.
