Emergency Services Advocate - LPAC (Temporary) -- $1,000 TRAINING INCENTIVE
Do you want to utilize your case management skills to help individuals in our community?
Community Action is looking for a committed Emergency Services Advocate - LPAC to join our Emergency Service team This individual is responsible for receiving and processing intake calls for the Lincoln Prevention Assistance Common (LPAC) Fund. The role also promptly obtains needed documents to submit applications for assistance.
Starting Pay: $22.02/hour
The Role:
- Facilitate LPAC application process.
- Respond to applicant requests in a timely manner, conduct rent and utility assistance intakes with walk-ins and scheduled appointments.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation.
- Connect participants with appropriate agency and community resources.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in human services or related field and/or equivalent work experience required.
- Case Management experience and knowledge of community resources preferred.
- Must be able to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Computer database experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written proficiencies of the English language required.
- Valid Nebraska Driver’s License and good driving record required.
