Job DescriptionJob DescriptionCardinal Staffing is hiring a First Class Mechanic in Lansing, MI partnered with a local transportation company in Grand Ledge, MI. The First-Class Mechanic is responsible for the diagnosis, inspection, and repair for commercial vehicles. This includes overhauls, electrical repairs, hydraulic systems repairs, suspension, and cosmetic repairs.

Education/Experience:
  • Minimum 1-year maintenance on heavy commercial vehicles
  • Able to utilize basic shop equipment and various hand tools
  • Chauffeur based “BP” CDL Permit
  • Experience with internal, external, and electrical repairs.
  • Must be able to pass ASE Preventative Maintenance test
Daily Tasks:
  • Perform preventive maintenance, testing and repair on equipment and vehicles to ensure safe and operational
  • Troubleshoot vehicles to determine malfunction and proper resolutions
  • Operate and maintain forklift and other industrial vehicles
  • Follow all safety policy and procedures.
