We are looking for a treasury management officer who wants stability, growth opportunity, and an excellent compensation and benefits package, plus has an outgoing personality that brings enthusiasm and professionalism with a high level of ownership and accountability. The position is designed to focus on the sale of TM solutions to new and existing clients and responsible for the retention of a significant and complex client base in various market segments and developing partnerships with Relations Managers in several different Lines of Business to jointly generate and grow profitable business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all elements of the Treasury Management sales cycle including: business development, prospect qualification, needs analysis and close of sale in order to exceed revenue growth goals as defined in the annual performance plan. Manages processes including implementation of TM products and services, pricing, client training and ongoing efficiencies.
  • Work closely with assigned vertical client managers to prioritize client calling and for cross-sell opportunities to expand the relationship.
  • Advise and/or participate with TM product implementations, upgrades and special projects.
  • Provide excellent customer service to existing clients to promote client retention and portfolio growth.
  • Participate in business development prospect meetings to explore and strategize potential solutions based on client needs. Prepares any related materials for executive consultation and review.
  • Apply a consultative sales approach that is strategic in nature to achieve production goals for TM as well as ancillary products such as merchant services and credit card programs.
  • Achieve performance and sales goals through proactive growth and retention of quality clients with a focus on driving overall profitability to meet bank targets.
  • Conduct pre-call planning sessions, research, and quantitative analysis in support of the sales opportunity.
  • Prepare all formal client presentations such as proposals, request for proposal responses, PowerPoint presentations, ROI and other financial analysis as needed.
  • Apply strong technical treasury product knowledge and coordinates appropriate resources from support groups for more complex solutions.
  • Provide industry and product training in internal and external audiences including customers, resource groups, partners and Relationship Managers.
  • Interact effectively and regularly with all levels of management and officers supported. Interacts and teams with Treasury Management Implementations/Operations partners to resolve problems and provide market feedback.
  • Maintain current and comprehensive knowledge of Treasury Management products, services, industry trends, competitive environment and service issues.
  • Opportunity to generate new deposit relationships for the Bank in the type and manner outlined in the Bank's Strategic Plan, including developing relationships extending beyond the initial deposit and treasury management request.
  • Cultivate referral networks through active community involvement and professional group affiliations to source new clients and proactively address client needs.
  • Resolve customer questions/issues through direct involvement or through coordination with other bank employees.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent work experience required.
  • 5 - 8 years' experience in banking or financial services industry, including 5 years' treasury product sales with demonstrated sales success, relationship management experience with strong working relationships with clients and colleagues required.
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation preferred.
  • Detail oriented with strong time management, organizational and planning skills.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Possess sound credit judgment, strong market expertise, and strong technical treasury product knowledge.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday; 8am - 5pm; some variation in work hours

TRAVEL: >50% (local); Must have unexpired DL and dependable vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage
