Job Description

Veolia Water Technologies' Hydrex Chemical Solutions Group is seeking a Water Management Technician in the greater Baltimore/Frederick MD, and Washington D.C. areas. This position involves the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of a variety of industrial and commercial water and wastewater treatment equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect and test water samples to determine concentration levels and impurities and generate a Veolia Vision service report

  • Perform all scheduled maintenance, service, and new installations of water treatment equipment.

  • Responsible for accurate record keeping of client data such as residual content of chemicals, water turbidity, and water pressure and chemical inventories.

  • Comply with all client safety requirements and training.

  • Coordinate with other operators throughout customer locations in order to maintain the plants water treatment equipment.

  • Be present for all annual or semi annual equipment inspections or shutdown and be capable of generating an inspection report.

  • Coordinate with Veolia purchasing department to order water treatment supplies, such as equipment and chemicals, in order to maintain the client’s water treatment equipment and chemical inventory.

  • Compile data for monthly operating reports to in house management and client management and during annual reviews

  • Responsible for training client’s personnel in the proper operating procedures for water treatment equipment.

  • Troubleshoot problems within client’s water treatment equipment and coordinate repairs as necessary.

  • Operate and maintain a company service vehicle.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Degree required, College Degree or training equivalent preferred. 

  • Must be proficient with MS Office.

  • 1 - 3 years of related work experience is required.
