Who We're Looking For:

We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our team immediately as a Senior Audio Visual (AV) Programmer. As a Senior AV Programmer, you will be responsible for creating and modifying control system software for integrated audio-visual systems. This involves converting requirements into functional user interfaces and control code.


You will collaborate with key stakeholders to meet unique requirements and work with various hardware and software systems and platforms to deliver a robust system. Additionally, you will install control programs and touch panel designs onsite, offsite, and remotely.


DoD security clearance required (Secret at a minimum, Top Secret preferred).


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret AV systems drawings
  • Gather programming requirements
  • Create control modules, control code and user interfaces
  • Mentor other programmers
  • Perform commissioning and acceptance testing of code
  • Test integrated systems and perform troubleshooting as needed
  • Demonstrate completed system to client
  • Create end-user and programming-related documentation
  • Maintain and update programming code in installed systems
  • Maintain control code in version control repository
  • Manage projects using dev-ops platform to track issues, deploy releases and collaborate
  • Travel to various job sites required


Travel:

  • Frequent travel by car and occasional airplane trips are required (both CONUS and OCONUS). 
  • Employee must possess a valid driver’s license in their state of residence. 
  • Employee will be required to use their own vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage at the current corporate rate. 
  • Local travel to job sites (within a 2-hour driving distance each way) will make up 70-90% usually but remote travel can be up to 30% of the job at times. 
  • 50% remote travel is required on a regular basis. 


Security Clearance:

  • DoD Secret clearance required; Top Secret preferred


Required/Desired Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

  • Three (3) years' Crestron, C#, HTML-5, and CSS deployment experience 
  • Proficient with test and calibration equipment, in programming languages, in uploading and downloading software in embedded systems, and in control system design (Crestron, AMX, Extron, QSC)
  • Solid communication and interaction with employees, clients, and colleagues as well as the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to diagnose and test complex system problems
  • Advanced computer skills for the design, configuration, optimization and operations of AV equipment
  • Energized self-starter capable of working and thinking independently and ensuring to meet deadlines
  • Understanding of computer networking and troubleshooting
  • Exceptional organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent capability to switch tasks while adapting to changing priorities
  • Crestron Master Programmer or AMX Control Programmer Associate or equivalent


Desired but not Required:

  • Formal education in Electronics, Software Engineering, or related field preferred
  • CTS (Certified Technology Specialist)
  • Experience with C#, JavaScript, HTML-5, PowerShell, Git version control
  • Experience with Enterprise VC solutions (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Bluejeans, Cisco Telepresence etc.) – both hardware and software
