Key Responsibilities:
Deal Sourcing and Evaluation:
- Source potential investment opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and industry research.
- Conduct initial screenings and due diligence on prospective companies, assessing market potential, business models, financial performance, and competitive positioning.
Financial Analysis and Modeling:
- Develop financial models, conduct valuation analysis, and perform sensitivity scenarios to evaluate investment opportunities.
- Analyze and interpret financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to assess company performance and growth prospects.
Due Diligence and Investment Execution:
- Coordinate and manage due diligence processes, collaborating with legal, financial, and technical experts as needed.
- Prepare investment memos and presentations for investment committee review, summarizing key findings and recommendations.
Portfolio Management and Support:
- Monitor portfolio company performance and milestones, actively engaging with management teams to support strategic initiatives.
- Assist in preparing quarterly reports and updates for investors, highlighting portfolio performance and key operational metrics.
Industry Research and Market Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes relevant to target sectors.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging opportunities and risks.
Relationship Building and Networking:
- Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, co-investors, industry experts, and other stakeholders in the venture capital ecosystem.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance visibility and deal flow.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- 2-4 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or management consulting with exposure to technology or growth sectors.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for startups, innovation, and emerging technologies.
