Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility is to support the accounting needs for several communities
  • Performs accounts payable functions for each community such as processing payments, adjustments, and researching and resolving discrepancies and unpaid invoices
  • Oversee and collect all receipts, invoices, statements, etc. from department directors on a weekly basis
  • Performs accounts receivable functions for each community such as processing statements, payments and adjustments, preparing bank deposits and monitoring customer's accounts for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
  • Perform detailed research where needed to resolve discrepancies
  • Monitor on a daily and monthly basis performance against budget and takes appropriate action to ensure each community's overall profitability

Qualifications:

  • Minimum AA degree in accounting, finance, or business
  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Must be skilled in use of QuickBooks and Excel Spreadsheets
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
  • Experience in multiple locations a plus
  • Sound organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and handle a fast-paced work environment in a friendly and professional manner
  • Demonstrate exemplary attitude, work ethic, and unwavering integrity
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations
