Our office located in Cincinnati, OH has an immediate need for an Insulation Installer. Insulation installers play a crucial role in ensuring building energy efficiency and comfort by installing insulation materials. Your primary responsibility will be to install insulation materials in walls, attics, and other areas to regulate temperature, reduce energy consumption, and create a more comfortable indoor environment.

*This is a full-time position, which offers benefits after 60 days of employment. Starting pay range is $20 to $24 per hour, dependent upon experience.

Responsibilities

• Install insulation materials, such as fiberglass, foam, or cellulose, in walls, attics, and crawl spaces following established guidelines and safety procedures.
• Use appropriate tools and equipment to measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas.
• Seal gaps, cracks, and air leaks to prevent heat loss or gain using caulking, foam, or other sealing materials.
• Install vapor barriers or moisture control measures to prevent condensation and moisture-related issues.
• Perform insulation removal when necessary, ensuring the proper disposal of old or damaged insulation materials.
• Collaborate with team lead, contractors, and homeowners to assess insulation needs and recommend appropriate insulation types and methods.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area ensures that tools, equipment, and materials are correctly stored and maintained.
• Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment.
• Keep updated with industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices in insulation installation techniques.
• Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the insulation installation.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of insulation materials, installation techniques, and building codes related to insulation.
• Proficiency in using various tools and equipment, including tape measures, cutting tools, staple guns, and blowers.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, construction plans, and insulation specifications.
• Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and work in confined spaces.
• Attention to detail and working accurately and efficiently to achieve high-quality insulation installations.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues during the insulation installation process.
• Practical communication skills to collaborate with team members, contractors, and homeowners.
• Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in insulation installation is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license
• Unafraid of heights and able to ascend and descend a ladder
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to follow safety guidelines.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to undergo additional training and certifications as required.
