We are seeking a skilled and motivated Contract Specialist to join our AuterionGS Programs team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) contracts and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). This role involves managing contract life cycles, ensuring compliance, and supporting our organization's contracting activities.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and modifications.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. DoD regulations, FAR, DFARS, and other applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain detailed and organized contract records and documentation.
- Assist in the development and implementation of contract policies and procedures.
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks.
- Monitor contract performance and ensure adherence to contract terms and conditions.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve contractual issues.
- Provide guidance and training to junior staff on contracting procedures and requirements.
- Prepare contract summaries and reports for management review.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in contract management, with at least 2 years working with U.S. DoD contracts.
- In-depth knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other relevant regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) certification.
- Experience with cost-reimbursement, fixed-price, and time and materials contracts.
- Prior experience in a defense contracting environment.
