Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day accounting transactions

  • Review monthly department expenses

  • Uses accounting software to maintain records and prepare reports

  • Timely and accurate preparation of Monthly, quarterly and year end financials

  • Assist management with

  • Maintains Fixed Asset and depreciation schedules

  • Manages Leases reconciliations and calculations

  • Ability to work in a changing environment. Identifying way to improve processes and implement automation

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records in accordance with GAAP.

  • Establish (in coordination with CFO) financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly, and annual basis


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field

  • Five or more years of experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager

  • Experience with financial software programs such as Quickbooks online

  • Understanding of financial and accounting standards and regulations

  • Organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to work well as part of a team

  • Written and verbal communication skills

  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Ability to prioritize duties

  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and juggle multiple duties


Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds
