Avum is seeking a talented, highly motivated, and security focused DevSecOps Engineer who can architect cloud solutions, build CI/CD pipelines, administer containerization platforms, as well as developing or implementing various other automation tools to increase efficiency in development and infrastructure deployments and maintenance. The candidate should be comfortable working with a diverse team of individuals locally and remotely. What You'll Be Doing:

  • Architecting and deploying AWS resources, using Terraform

  • Building CI/CD pipelines for Java and Angular microservices in Tekton

  • Deploy containerized microservices in Kubernetes-based environment

  • Utilize various scanner tools to identify security vulnerabilities in code, containers, and containerization platform

  • Administer Kubernetes-based containerization platform by enhancing security, improving observability and logging, updating platforms

  • Building secure container images

  • Provide assistance to infrastructure and security team as needed

What You Will Need:

  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a T5 (Top Secret) US Government Clearance

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required.

  • CompTIA Linux+ certification

  • CompTIA Security+ certification

  • AWS certified in one of these certificates: SysOps Admin, Solutions Architect (associate or professional), DevOps Engineer, Advanced Networking, or Security

  • Experience deploying AWS solutions

  • Experience with Kubernetes or similar containerization platforms

  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines

If You Have This, It's A Plus:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a curriculum or major field of study closely related to the work detailed above and/or in computer science, information systems, physical science, engineering, or mathematics–intensive discipline, or an applicable training certificate from an accredited training institution

  • Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance

  • Experience or certified in Terraform

  • Experience with programming

  • Experience or certified with OpenShift

  • Experience applying NIST 800-53 compliance

Location:

The candidate will be required to interact and coordinate with external project team members and other Avum employees remotely. As a remote employee, the candidate will not have a permanent office or desk space but may be required to attend in-person meetings. This may require travel to government sites located in Washington, D.C., and the Avum office located in Agoura Hills, California. Our priority is acquiring the most qualified candidate to satisfactorily perform the required tasks, including team collaboration, regardless of the candidate's geographical location.

NOTE: This fully remote role requires the candidate to participate in meetings virtually using tools like Microsoft Teams. Online availability during the core Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours, Monday through Friday, will be required.
