Summary/Objective

Diagnose and repair vehicles in preparation for pickup and delivery.

Essential Functions

  • Diagnose vehicle problems.
  • Repair problems.
  • Remove and replace parts.
  • Use hands and power tools.
  • Operate computer for testing and ordering parts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • ASE Certification

  • Must be able to obtain TWIC badge (Transportation Working Identification Card).

Work Environment

Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office, production setting, outdoor/indoor shop environment or enclosed vehicle with adequate ventilation and protection from extreme weather conditions.

Physical Demands

Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily production/technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives of objects and materials.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are primarily 8 hours each day, Monday through Friday on a day shift. This position often requires overtime.
