Position: General Facilities Maintenance
Schedule:
  • Working Hours: M-F 6am-2:30pm
  • Compensation: $18 per hour
Duties:
General facility maintenance workers, also known as general maintenance and repair workers, are responsible for the upkeep and repair of a facility's physical assets and infrastructure. This includes the interior, exterior, and vital systems of a commercial building, office space, or industrial site.
  • Inspecting and identifying: Equipment or machines that need repair
  • Troubleshooting: Issues to determine the necessary repairs
  • Planning: Repair work using blueprints or equipment manuals
  • Performing repairs: That don't require a specialized technician, such as drywall or plaster repair, painting, furniture assembly, and plumbing repairs
  • Performing routine maintenance: On building systems, such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
  • Cleaning and maintaining: Indoor areas, such as floors, windows, and walls, and outdoor facilities, such as landscaping and parking lots
  • Ordering supplies and materials: Needed for repairs and maintenance
