Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Manager to join our team in the Information Technology Department. The IT Manager will be responsible for the organization's daily IT needs and controlling and evaluating IT data operations. Works in correlation with contracted IT vendor(s) to maintain the IT infrastructure systems and services to ensure optimal performance, security, and compliance within our patient care delivery model.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including infrastructure management, system administration, and technical support services
  • Manage the organization's information technology and computer systems. Address network troubleshooting strategies and IT maintenance needs.
  • Oversee and implement an IT plan that ensures the organization's network runs smoothly.
  • Collaborate with IT contracted vendor(s), department heads, and stakeholders to identify IT needs and develop solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of IT systems and infrastructure to support business operations and growth.
  • Coordinate and lead IT-driven projects.
  • Assist and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, as well as the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Lead efforts to define data architecture, standards, and processes to facilitate effective data management and utilization.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to IT and data teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements while maintaining high standards of service delivery for operational effectiveness and patient care.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the health center's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and telecommunications systems.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of all electronic health records (EHR) and patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist in developing and managing the IT budget, including forecasting, cost analysis, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and maintain IT asset inventory.
  • Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience working in IT operations. Experience in healthcare management setting preferred.
  • Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize.
  • A firm grasp of IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
  • Good communication, including writing, speaking, and active listening.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Willing and have the ability to do some local travel to outreach clinic locations.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, stoop, sit, maneuver in tight spaces, and the ability to adjust to varying work conditions and environments.
