JOB TITLE: Business Operations Analyst

REPORTS TO: Vice-President, Business Operations

STATUS: Full time, Non-Exempt

BriteCap is a fast-growing lend-tech (tech enabled non-bank lender), dedicated to providing simple, fast, and affordable financing to America’s small businesses. BriteCap is at an exciting transition stage after our recent capital raise, and we are investing in growing our business. Over the next 3-4 years, we plan to scale our originations by 20x, providing fast lending decisions to small business owners and grow our team significantly. We are looking for a dynamic Senior Operations Manager to join our team, working out of our Las Vegas location.

Position overview

As a Business Operations Analyst, you embody the idea that we want our internal customers to succeed. You will be the employee-facing level 1 support person, managing support tickets and user requests, investigating problems, escalating support issues to our partners and vendors, and answering general questions. As you resolve daily problems, you will identify trends and create recommendations to Business Operations management for product and process improvements. The wide exposure of this role offers opportunities to interact and grow within all levels of the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Gather and evaluate small business financial information to determine applicant creditworthiness, ensuring loan compliance with Company and regulatory requirements.
  • Underwrite loans by analyzing business history, financials, and credit profiles to comply with company policies.
  • Perform analysis of business and personal financial statements and tax returns
  • Ensure proper pre-funding quality control steps are taken on all loans.
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency towards meeting applicant requests while also meeting acceptable risk parameters
  • Maintaining company standards for productivity and compliance of underwriting turnaround standards.
  • Provide frequent communication with all parties involved in transactions in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Actively engage with the Underwriting/Risk team for general guideline interpretations and questions on specific loan files
  • Perform other required duties, as requested.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of processing experience within a lending organization (ideally with an MCA funder or reputable small business lender)
  • A Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in business, finance, accounting or similar level of background
  • Knowledge and understanding of loan related transactions, cashflow analysis, compliance, lending practices and risks
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret loan documents, credit reports, bank statements and financials
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detailed oriented self-motivated individual
  • Skilled at working with urgency and deadlines, handling confidential and time sensitive materials to ensure turnaround times meet requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to foster a positive relationship with customers and co-workers
  • Strong values/ethics and a commitment to adhere to the highest standards of professional conduct

Responsibilities

  • Provide level 1 support to our employees and answer internal questions relating to product, process, and policy
  • Bring open support cases to resolution in a timely manner or escalate them to the appropriate teams or vendor if necessary
  • Contribute to the enterprise-level technical road map by being an active participant in UATs and documenting the test scenarios and outcomes
  • Create and maintain workflows in Hubspot
  • Process opt-out requests from direct mail and email campaigns in a timely manner
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

  • High comfort level interacting with both technical and non-technical groups
  • Above-average proficiency with Microsoft Office product suite a must; proficiency with Hubspot or other CRM system highly desired but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and systematic approach to task performance
