Job Description:


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver/Companion to provide full-time care for a client with intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, schizoaffective disorder, seizures, and verbal aggression. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, ensuring the client's well-being and enhancing their quality of life.

Responsibilities:


  • Assist with cooking and cleaning
  • Help with toileting, bathing, dressing, and brushing teeth
  • Assist with feeding
  • Perform shopping and run errands
  • Help with transfers using a Hoyer lift and manual wheelchair
  • Accompany the client to church and community activities
  • Engage in crafts and other recreational activities
Requirements:


  • Previous experience as a caregiver
  • Proficient in using a Hoyer lift and performing transfers
  • Ability to use a manual wheelchair
  • Ability to handle verbal aggression professionally
