Job Title: Caregiver Support Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver Support Specialist to join our team at Caregiver, Inc. Our mission is to enable individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead their unique lives with dignity, independence, and inclusion.

Job Summary:

The Caregiver Support Specialist will provide direct support to individuals with IDD, facilitating daily living activities, promoting independence, and empowering them to make choices. This role requires a strong commitment to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dining skills, and housekeeping.
  • Provide support with training activities, such as social skills and community access.
  • Aid in mobility and assist with medication administration.
  • Participate in the Individual Support Team to develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
  • Monitor and report on consumer activities, ensuring safety and health care practices are observed.
Requirements:
  • A high school education or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous experience in supporting individuals with disabilities is an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record (if applicable).
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively as part of a team.
