This role is designed for a strategic people leader who will manage and guide a team of Product Owners, focusing on leadership and collaboration. As the Manager of the Product Owner group, you will report to the Director of Product, leading the Product Owner group and working closely with engineering to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality releases. You will assist with Agile ceremonies where needed and facilitate quarterly planning, ensuring alignment with company objectives and fostering effective cross-functional processes.

Responsibilities

  • Guide, mentor, and develop a team of Product Owners, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge they need to succeed.
  • Implement consistent processes across the Product Owner group and product portfolio to drive efficiencies and promote effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Act as the main point of contact between cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, support and services, to ensure that stakeholder needs are being considered and evaluated.
  • Oversee and facilitate Agile ceremonies where needed.
  • Drive the release planning and upgrade processes across the product portfolio, ensuring seamless communication and alignment with company objectives.
  • Work with Product Managers to develop roadmaps that align with company objectives and market trends, ensuring features are well-defined and prioritized.
  • Continuously refine and improve product management processes, tools, and best practices to enhance team efficiency and product quality.
  • Collaborate with peers across the organization to monitor sprint and quality metrics, utilizing their insights to continuously improve delivery

Skills and Requirements

  • 5+ years experience as a Product Owner, or similar role, in a SaaS environment
  • 2+ years in a people management role
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor and guide a team of Product Owners
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies in their application to team delivery
  • Proven experience instituting organizational or departmental process changes
  • Hands-on experience supporting all stages of the software development lifecycle
  • A solid understanding of the SDLC and SaaS technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively and actively communicate with both business and technical stakeholders and resources at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to earn the trust of stakeholders and engineering teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
