Bistro 107 at Testarossa Winery will be open Friday - Sunday for lunch and dinner and Thursdays and Mondays for dinner service only. Located on a charming historic patio surrounded by 100 year old trees, Bistro 107 will offer a unique outdoor dining experience.

What the Bistro 107 Lead Line Cook does

As the full-time Lead Line Cook, you'll assist the Sous Chef in overseeing the daily operations of the Bistro 107 mobile food trailer at Testarossa Winery. Working at the Los Gatos Winery, Thursday - Monday, the day to will include:

  • Cooking of menu items in a consistent, efficient and aesthetically pleasing manner
  • Uniformly and efficiently plating of salads, entrees, appetizers and desserts based on the design of the Chef
  • Assisting in supervising, motivating and training a kitchen staff of 2 to 4 cooks
  • Making prep lists, organize and keep inventory of on-site kitchen
  • Assisting in maintenance and overall upkeep of the mobile food kitchen and corresponding areas
  • Providing safe transportation of equipment and products to and from the Winery
  • Removing & organizing all food items from the culinary van upon its’ arrival from the offsite commercial kitchen, rotating items as appropriate
  • Leading and supporting Bistro 107 kitchen team through the entire process of pack-up, transport, set-up, break down, and return
  • Communicating with the Hospitality and Culinary Leadership Team regarding all aspects of food service during service through daily reporting
  • Assisting in Private events and at the offsite commercial kitchen in San Jose, as needed
Requirements:


As a Bistro 107 Lead Line Cook, you will bring:

  • Minimum 3 years kitchen experience or similar culinary school training
  • Minimum 1+ year in a leadership/supervisory role in a food service setting
  • Must have current ServSafe and/or California Food Handlers Certification
  • Must possess valid driver’s license
  • Safe knife skills
  • Respectful and effective communication
  • Effectively communicate in English, with some Spanish language capabilities preferred
  • Working Knowledge of Health & sanitation
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Must be proactive, have a sense of urgency and a positive attitude
  • Professional appearance

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Must be available to work Thursday - Monday, plus holidays
  • Work in on-site mobile food facility
  • Walk, stand, bend, kneel, and reach frequently for the duration of the shift
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Handles sharp and hot tools regularly
  • Frequently utilizes cleaning chemicals
  • Drive to/from the offsite kitchen in San Jose to the Winery in Los Gatos, as needed
