Job DescriptionJob Description

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain absolute integrity of general ledger.
  • Facilitate and complete month-end closing procedures for all entities.
  • Maintain various spreadsheets to support financial transactions and analysis.
  • Prepare and record monthly journal entries.
  • Develop, analyze, and maintain new payroll process.
  • Maintain integrity of time keeping & compensation system.
  • Prepare payroll files, accounting files, records, and schedules for biweekly payrolls.
  • Review and resolve any payroll discrepancies.
  • Ensure compensation is set correctly in scheduling/time keeping system.
  • Participate in payroll audits.
  • Answer employee, administration or vendor questions concerning payroll.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports.
  • Assist with external financial audits.
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Participate in continuing education.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP.
  • Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office 365 required.
  • Highly detailed oriented and organized in work.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Experience in healthcare a plus.
  • Experience with Intacct a plus.
  • Experience with QGenda Time Keeping a plus.
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from Senior Director to accomplish objectives.
  • Ability to analyze information and connect the dots for the executive team regarding areas driving financial performance.
  • Ability to meet all organizational deadlines.
  • Ability to ensure high levels of confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and bring about improvement in the existing business processes.
  • Ability to problem solve and resolve discrepancies.

Education and Experience

  • BA/BS or higher in Accounting. Job requires continuing education / development courses for personal growth.
  • 4-6 years’ experience with significant accounting responsibilities.
