JOB SUMMARY:

This part-time, back of house position will take pride in and be a key part the Certified Angus Beef ® Culinary Center cleanliness and daily operations. Core responsibilities include leading dishwashing duties during our high-end culinary events, end of the day kitchen sanitation and washing and sanitizing our meat lab as needed. Being part of a dynamic and energetic team, this role is highly appreciated by all and helps set a daily standard of excellence.


Essential Functions:

  • Maintain and run the dish machine and dish sink daily, ensuring the dishes are cleaned thoroughly and stored properly after each function
  • Manage the cleanliness and functionality of the dish machine
  • Remove garbage and recycling, replace garbage bags and wash garbage cans daily
  • Conduct proper floor maintenance daily, sweeping, mopping and washing mats
  • Clean and sanitize meat lab and meat lab equipment according to food safety guidelines
  • Assist in cutting, packing and processing beef, including running a meat grinder
  • Clean restaurant equipment: grills, smokers, ovens, hood vent, etc…
  • Willingness to sample and enjoy creations from our culinary team

 

Work Environment: The busy kitchen environment will include hot and sometimes humid conditions, working carefully around hot pans, sharp knives and sanitation chemicals. The meat lab environment will include cold temperatures, wet or humid conditions, working with equipment and exposure to sanitation chemicals. Noise level in the work environment can be loud.


Hours: Part-time position, up to 20 hours per week or Full-time position, 40 hours per week. Must be willing and able to work varied hours which may include some weekends, evenings, and/or early mornings.

Primary hours of work anticipated: Part-time 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; 3-4 days per week varying Monday through Friday. Full-time 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; 5 days per week.

 

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:

Education/Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.  Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

  • Age 18+
  • High School diploma (or in process)
  • Experience in the foodservice industry is a plus


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
  • Self-motivated, great attitude and high energy
  • Highly organized, resourceful and flexible
  • High attention to detail
  • Service oriented
  • Comfortable standing for most hours on the job
  • Able to lift 50 pounds or more
