The Role: As our new Behavioral Support Consultant, you will be at the heart of creating transformative change. You'll partner with individuals, their families, and a dynamic interdisciplinary team (IDT) to craft and implement Positive Behavior Support (PBS) strategies that promote positive outcomes and reduce challenging behaviors. Your role will be key in guiding, training, and supporting those who provide care and assistance, ensuring that everyone involved is equipped to achieve the best results.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the Way: Design and implement innovative behavior support plans that truly make a difference.
  • Collaborate and Inspire: Work closely with a team of professionals to ensure seamless, coordinated support.
  • Train and Empower: Develop and deliver training sessions that equip Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) with the tools they need to succeed.
  • Drive Results: Monitor and evaluate progress, making adjustments as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Make an Impact: Play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with I/DD through creative problem-solving and effective support strategies.

What We're Looking For:

  • Expertise and Experience: Master's degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required:
  • Increased compensation with an independent practice license (e.g., Psychologist, LCSW, LPCC) and clinical experience with I/DD is required.
  • Supervision provided for LMSW and LPC and those with no experience with I/DD populations.
  • Passion and Drive: A genuine passion for improving the lives of individuals with I/DD and a commitment to providing exceptional support.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding ability to communicate effectively and train others.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail and documentation.
