General Summary

As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for strategic procurement, negotiating and replenishing inventory. Our mission is to respond to the needs of multiple facilities and comply with The California Bureau of Cannabis Control (BCC). The Procurement Specialist role is an advanced level position that works with a high variety of complex, highly technical, customized purchase orders. This role will require independent problem solving and analyzing. Responsibilities may include assistance with seasonal planning, procedural orders for particular facilities and sharing reports of product performance with corresponding colleagues.

  • Handle purchasing activities that involve procurement of new and exiting inventory
  • Minimizes costs of purchased goods where possible, while eliminating possible downtime due to delivery or availability of materials/goods
  • Oversee and schedule the inventory department
  • Update promotion calendar 
  • Update expected delivery calendar 
  • Prepare purchase orders by verifying inventory specifications and pricing; obtain recommendations from suppliers for substitute items
  • Receives purchase orders by verifying items received to items ordered with the the inventory team 
  • Resolves shipments in errors with suppliers
  • Obtains request for quotes and selects the best quotes offered
  • Coordinates with approved vendors to procure goods/materials at a best pricing, and delivery date
  • Prepares periodic inventory reports
  • Ensures that purchasing work instructions and procedures that are in place are followed
  • Responsible for opening and closing store procedures
  • Assists with internal, external, front and back end operations
  • Uphold all company policies, standards, and procedures
  • Responsible for performing SM duties in their absence
  • Supervise, train, coach and develop all associates (i.e conduct mock sales and training, participate and host staff meetings scheduled for the store, Encourage services, promotions and events provided by our company) 
  • Assist Operations Team in achieving sales growth by using strategic inventory methods
