Job DescriptionJoin our dynamic team as a Senior Product Content Strategy Manager, where you will be instrumental in driving our high level content strategies that enhance our technology, products and brand, while driving engagement, to deliver measurable business results. Your strategic vision will guide our content initiatives across multiple platforms and products, ensuring alignment with our corporate goals and customer needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical Strategy Expert, with an ability to convert a technology and product roadmap into powerful product marketing and thought leadership content:
- Through deep technical knowledge of the storage environment, develop and implement comprehensive content strategies that align with the company’s objectives and brand voice.
- Adept at working cross functionally, applying both storage market and roadmap knowledge to identify and develop thought leadership opportunities.
- Working directly with the strategic content team, to formulate compelling and technically differentiated product and corporate positioning and content strategies tailored to resonate with target technical audiences.
- Conduct content audits, gap analyses, and competitor research to identify opportunities for content optimization and innovation.
- Define KPIs and use data analytics to measure content effectiveness, making data-driven decisions to improve content quality and performance.
- Engage in collaborative efforts with executive leadership teams, product management, regional interlock, PR, and other teams to ensure alignment on technical product strategy and messaging.
- Drive content innovation by experimenting with new content formats and technologies.
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, engineering, or a related field. MBA a plus.
- Experience in communications, Journalism, English, or related would be an advantage.
- 7+ years of experience in content strategy, content management, technical product marketing role in the storage industry or similar technical environments.
SKILLS:
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate business needs and user insights into effective content strategies.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and to lead large-scale projects.

Compensation & Benefits Details
- An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
- The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
- You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital’s Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance. Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan. RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Western Digital’s Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
