Diesel Technician Opportunity Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Technician. As a Diesel Technician at W.W. Williams, you will be responsible for accurately troubleshooting, repairing, and diagnosing routine maintenance and emergency services while making repair recommendations to customers. This position will work closely with other technicians to ensure all work scheduled is performed safely and to the customer's satisfaction.

Job Duties:

  • Perform quality repairs and maintenance on Diesel Engines/Heavy Duty Trucks as specified in manufacturer-designed procedures.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork (e.g., repair information on work orders, information for state and emission inspections) in a timely manner.
  • Diagnose failure of vehicles by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.
  • Dedication and adherence to all Company and industry safety standards.
  • Inspecting vital parts to ensure they are in proper operating conditions.
  • Create a job repair plan based on diagnosis.

Work Experience & Qualifications:

  • Our ideal candidate would have a minimum of 3+ Years of diesel repair and maintenance experience in a heavy truck/fleet dealership or shop environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of multiple systems (e.g., A/C, brake, emission, air), diagnostics, and troubleshooting diesel engines.
  • Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
