POSITION DESCRIPTION
• Plan, organize, and coordinate electrical engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects through project startup
• Execute tasks associated with the preparation, modification, and review of all types of communication system design/construction drawings, including microwave, telephone data, system control and data acquisition (SCADA), mobile radio, fire alarm, microwave radio, security and video
• Properly interpret and apply National, State, and Local codes and standards, and customer design requirements for the preparation of electrical design/construction documents, specifications, and system descriptions related to assigned tasks
• Prepare studies, analyses, and reports as required. Prepare engineering cost and schedules estimates. Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations, and specifications
• Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or similar accredited engineering B.S. with a minimum of 10 or more years’ experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 10 or more years' experience in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering.
- Ability to work in a diverse work environment,
- Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to fulfill and promote L&A core values.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must have working knowledge of Federal (including DOE) and State code applicable to communications engineering design.
- ECS/PA System Design experience.
- Manual Take-Off experience.
- Experience with determination of ambient sound levels.
- Determination of minimum candela and speaker output settings.
- Experience with Microstation, S3D, Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and/or EASE Software.
- NFPA 70 experience.
LOCATION
Position will be on-site in Greenville, SC with occasional travel to Aiken, SC as needed.

Work Hours:
A 40-hour work week is scheduled consisting of a 4/10 schedule.
