The Maintenance Technician works as part of the Facilities department and is responsible for performing routine commercial building maintenance tasks under minimal supervision at assigned K-12 school location(s).

The Maintenance Technician, Seasonal, is responsible for performing unskilled maintenance tasks under the close supervision of skilled maintenance technicians. This is a temporary. Monday through Friday work is available. Work begins May and concludes August. Work may also be About You:

● Performs unskilled work in the maintenance and repair of equipment, components, systems and
facilities.
● Operates tools and equipment used in the specific trade to which assigned.
● Maintains routine records related to work performed.
● Understands and follows oral and written directions.
● Works cooperatively with others.
● Meets schedules and time lines.
● Observes health and safety regulations.
● Lift objects weighing up to 80 pounds.
● Able to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines.
● Must possess excellent communication skills.
● Problem solving skills: able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; able to gather
and analyze information skillfully.

Work Environment:

While performing these duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting as well as
outdoors.

Physical Demands:

● The physical requirements indicated below are examples of the physical aspects that this position
classification must perform in carrying out essential job functions.
● Persons performing service in this position classification will exert 75 to 100 pounds of force
frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
● Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, push, pull.
● This type of work may involve ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps,
and will involve walking or standing for extended periods.
● Perceiving the nature of sound, near and far vision, depth perception, providing oral information,
the manual dexterity to operate equipment and use hand tools, and handle and work with
various materials and objects are important aspects of this job.
● Exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions caused by weather may occasionally be
experienced.

Travel:

Local travel to various worksites will be required. Reliable transportation and a valid OH driver's license are
required.
