Buildology is seeking a full time Counter Sales Associates.

 

Summary

This position requires a customer-oriented individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills. The Counter Sales Associate is responsible for assisting customers, processing transactions, and promoting products or services to meet sales targets. This role requires fluency in both English and Spanish to effectively communicate with a diverse customer base.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and helpful information about products, features, and pricing in both languages.
  • Actively promote and sell products to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Upsell additional items or related products, maximizing the transaction value.
  • Provide product data as required to provide customers with all information required to perform their project successfully.
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain an organized work area.
  • Follow company procedures completely during transactions.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications, such as daily tasks and internal communication.
  • Stay informed about product updates or additions.
  • Collaborate with other departments and locations.
  • Work with the sales team to maximize sales and provide excellent customer service.
  • Always maintain a good attitude.


Qualifications / Experience and Education

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Previous experience with Construction Material
  • Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
  • Microsoft Office, Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both languages.
  • Basic math skills for processing transactions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of the products being offered.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sales systems.
  • Positive and customer-focused attitude.
  • Forklift operation and truck loading.

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for prolonged periods; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, grasp, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
  • The employee may be required to and/or move up to 60 pounds to shoulder height and infrequent lifting up to 100 pounds. 
  • Must have agility to maintain balance on equipment or block piles. 
  • Must lift, place and set block. 
  • Must be able to work outside in the yard.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
