Job DescriptionJob Description

Position: Hotel Housekeeper

Wage: 17.00/hr.

POSITION SUMMARY:  Responsible for the cleaning of guest rooms in assigned area(s) of the Hotel or Lodge.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:    Specific areas of responsibility included, but not limited to:

  • Vacuum, sweep, scrub, mop, clean carpets and flooring in Guest rooms.
  • Dust and polish furniture, curtains, framed pictures; vacuum upholstered furniture; clean glass, mirrors, and appliances.
  • Scrub, disinfect, and deodorize showers, toilets, wash basins, and other bathroom and vanity fixtures.
  • Remove trash and debris from Guest rooms.
  • Strip beds and remake with fresh linens.
  • Replenish towels, linens, amenities, and other supplies in Guest rooms.
  • Report items found in Guest rooms to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Routinely inspect Guest rooms for maintenance needs, i.e. burned out light bulbs, plumbing, electrical problems, and carpentry needs reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Take responsibility for a “Pass Key” during assigned shift, turning it in at the end of the shift to the appropriate person.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.     Be at least 18 years of age.

2.     Participate and pass pre-employment drug screening and background investigation to obtain and maintain a valid Gaming License.

3.      Able to communicate and interact with Guests, fellow Team Members, and Management in a professional and courteous manner.
