Builder Trade Agent/Purchasing Manager

Are you skilled at negotiating deals and managing supplierrelationships in the construction industry? We're seeking a talented individualto join us as a Builder Trade Agent/Purchasing Manager. In this role, you'll beresponsible for sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, and managing vendorrelationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement for ourconstruction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SupplierManagement: Identify and vet suppliers, negotiate terms and pricing,and maintain strong relationships to secure reliable sources of materials andservices.

2. Procurement: Coordinatethe procurement process, including obtaining quotes, issuing purchase orders,and tracking deliveries to ensure timely arrival of materials to job sites.

3. CostAnalysis: Conduct thorough cost analysis to identify opportunitiesfor cost savings and value engineering without compromising quality.

4. ContractNegotiation: Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors,ensuring favorable terms and conditions that align with project requirementsand budget constraints.

5. InventoryManagement: Oversee inventory levels, monitor usage patterns, andimplement strategies to minimize excess inventory and reduce carrying costs.

Requirements:

· Provenexperience in purchasing, procurement, or a related field within theconstruction industry, with a minimum of [3] years in a managerial role.

· Strongnegotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationshipswith suppliers and subcontractors.

· Excellentanalytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data andmake informed decisions.

· Familiaritywith construction materials, building codes, and industry standards.

· Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite and experience with purchasing software or ERPsystems is preferred.
