As a Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant specializing in pain management, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients suffering from chronic pain conditions. This is an excellent opportunity to significantly impact our patients lives and work alongside a collaborative and dedicated healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and pain evaluations.
- Develop and implement patient-specific treatment plans for pain management, including interventional procedures, medication management, and other therapeutic modalities.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, such as trigger point injections, nerve blocks, joint injections, and epidural steroid injections.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and develop pain management strategies.
- Educate patients and their families on pain management: techniques, medication usage, and self-care strategies.
- Document patient encounters, procedures performed, and treatment plans promptly and accurately.
- Maintain high professionalism, adhering to ethical standards and complying with all regulatory requirements.
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in IL
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing patient needs.
- Dedication to providing compassionate care and improving the quality of life for patients suffering from chronic pain conditions.
