SUMMARY  

Provides ongoing training for all clinical staff as it pertains to clinical documentation and Maintains credentialing records for all staff. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

 

Adheres to agency policy and procedures, as found in the online SharePoint Folder. Also adheres to CARF and DMHSAS standards and criteria, federal and state confidentiality rules and regulations, and any special funding source requirements including Medicaid and HCA regulations. 

 

Supports and promotes a service environment for individuals in need of behavioral health and/or co-occurring services that is recovery-focused, welcoming, and attentive to the needs of individuals who may have experienced trauma in their lives.  Attends annual core competencies training in relationship to individuals with co-occurring disorders or who have experienced trauma in their lives. 

 

Provides backup to the Director for initial and follow-up training for clinical staff as well as evaluating the level of competency for training needs of staff prior to the start of their regular work duties. 

 

Instills the philosophy of Collaborative/Therapeutic Documentation to meet clinical record-keeping documentation standards and ensure documentation is completed with the Consumer to the extent possible and all documentation is completed on the same day of the date of service. 

 

Provides input to the Director on the professional performance of individuals privileged to provide clinical services in the program. 

 

Informs the Director of staff training needs, consultation and education needs, and training/orientation of new staff. Coordinates and assists with agency training. 

 

Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with supervisor and peers, and develops integrated service provisions with other programs.  Can effectively work within a team or group setting cohesively. 

 

Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with other agencies. 

 

Reviews new hire progress notes and provides further feedback and training. 

 

Maintains credentialing files for all staffs further education and licensures. 

 

Records and follows up with staff on Staff development opportunities and registers staff for training/CEU opportunities. 

 

Responsible for maintaining strictest confidentiality guidelines for interactions regarding consumer and family information. 

 

Responsible for on-going knowledge of the course of treatment, needs, and special issues of program clients including co-occurring services. 

 

May be required to work evening or weekend hours. 

 

May be required to provide services in a community setting. 

 

May be required to provide client transportation by using personal vehicle or agency owned van or small bus. 

 

Provides for scheduling and supervising assigned staff in the provision of services, clinical record keeping and reporting procedures and ensuring staff receive best practice trainings.  Instills the philosophy of Collaborative/Therapeutic Documentation to meet clinical record keeping documentation standards and ensure documentation is completed with the Consumer to the extent possible and all documentation is completed on the same day of the date of service. 

 

Performs other related duties as assigned. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  

Bachelor's degree in a Mental Health related field; with one to two years of related experience and/or training; or  

Equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS  

Required to obtain and maintain DMHSAS CM Certification 

May be required to obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR Certifications 

Required to complete Therapeutic Options training or approved safety training and annual updates 

In order to transport clients in private or agency vehicles, must possess current, valid Oklahoma license, meet HOPE insurance requirements.  HOPE will annually obtain a copy of Motor Vehicle Report from the Department of Public Safety.
